Normally it takes about an hour and a half to cook it, but using an instant pot you can cut this time in half.
Step#1
Chop red onion, garlic and jalapeno
Cut up about 1 ½ cup of bacon
Turn the instant pot to saute mode.
Put bacon into the instant pot and fry it until it becomes crispy.
Then take out bacon from the instant pot and leave all the bacon fat inside, we will use it to cook other ingredients.
Step#2
Add ground beef inside the instant pot and cook it until it gets brown. Cook it about half way.
Then add diced red onion and cook it together with meat for about 3 min.
Add chopped jalapeno and garlic.
Add salt, ground pepper and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
Add 3 cans of beans into the instant pot, fried bacon, brown sugar, tomato sauce, molasses, Worcestershire sauce and mix it all together.
Step#3
Select manual mode (or pressure cook on high) in the instant pot and set it for 15min cook time.
Your total preparation time for this dish is about 45min.
