Preparation

Step #1

Follow instructions on the package of the dough. Plan out your cooking at least 3 hours in advance, so rolls are fully ready for baking.

Step #2

Making meat filling. Combine onion, parsley, garlic and carrots in the food processor and chop really well.  Transfer this mixture to the medium size bowl along with ground meat. Add salt, pepper, shawarma spices and tomato paste. Mix it all really well.

Step #3

After about 3-4 hours, our dough should be ready for baking. Take one roll, flatten it with your hand, add 1 ½  tablespoon of meat in the middle and squeeze dough in 4 equal sides which will make the filling settle well in the middle.

Now, our meat pies are ready for baking.

You can use an oven, which takes about 12-15 min at 350°F. Each oven is different, so make sure to check in the process.

Alternatively you can use an Air Fryer, it took me about 7min at 320°F

It is ready to serve. Amazing appetizer for your next party. And if you want to experiment, next time you can make this type of mini pies with a sweet filling.

I hope you like this recipe.
